Settle Lyrics

Learn to fly,
Learn to fly,
Show the world
How you tried. But don't let go
Until you know,
Until you know
Me.'Cause I can see,
I can see
All the things
Arresting me.
But I control,
I control.When I get home,
When I get home,
I need to feel less alone.
I couldn't feel,
I couldn't feel
Anybody.This isn't home,
This isn't home,

I couldn't feel more alone.
I need to feel,
I need to feel
Somebody.'Cause I see the world
In different colours
To someone like you.The city will pull you in
Romantic and drenched in sin, love.
But you only have but a time
Until this place
Will swallow you whole. And everything I cannot imagine.
This dim-lit room has seen much before me.
And I don't want
To ever know,
To know. The city will pull you in
Romantic and drenched in sin, love.
But you only have but a time
Until this place
Will swallow you whole.

Mko

Emerging from the steamy Brisbane summertime haze is MKO; a fresh injection of comic colour and street-chic sound. Ms MKO (Hannah Macklin) spits pink bubblegum vocals, popping fast, rap-inspired spurts, then stretching and soaring to less-travelled heights of songbirdery. Her band blast driving and often obscure neo-soul and hip-hop beats, and grungy synth-pop basslines and hooks, channelled through electro gadgets and spliced with samples. Taking inspiration from field leaders such as Erykah Badu, The Dirty Projectors, Santigold and James Blake, MKO ooze urban attitude with an abstract arty aesthetic.

With debut EP "Awaken The Herd" enjoying prime Triple J airplay, and earning MKO Feature Artist spots on Triple J Unearthed and FBi Radio Sydney, MKO are now gearing up to release their second EP "Lily Lotus Orchid Sunflower" in early 2013.

"It's like Cornelius covering The Dirty Projectors on a red cordial bender." - Dom Alessio, Triple J (Home & Hosed)

"Awaken The Herd [is] an explosive mash up of pop, dance-centric R&B and neo-soul that sounds simply alive." - Time Off Magazine Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
