According to their myspace page: Squid Vs. Shark is a group of young people who hail from the town of Anacortes WA (Except Cynthia, who is from there, but lives in Seattle, where she goes to the University of Washington). The rest of the band attends Anacortes High School and Anacortes Middle School. They play catchy, danceable, indie pop and are influenced by a wide variety of people, places, and things, especially hula hoops, people named Elliot, and hula hoop factories run by people named Elliot.
