She Don't Love Me Lyrics

You know if I'd seen her comin'
I'd probably tried to hide
But I came around the corner
And she caught me by surpriseThere was no ice cold shoulder
There was no ugly scene
She just smiled and didn't say
The things I thought she'd say to meIt was nothin' like that rainy night
She left and slammed the door
Not only she don't love me
She don't hate me anymoreWell, I felt like some old neighbor
Just some guy she once knew
And you'd never know she loved me
And I broke her heart in twoWas she hidin' her emotions
Or did she really get that strong
Right then she turned
And introduced me to her new friend JohnI could tell the way he shook my hand
He'd never heard of me before
Not only she don't love me

She don't hate me anymoreThere was no ice cold shoulder
There was no ugly scene
She just smiled and didn't say
The things I knew she'd say to meI guess she got so caught up in him
My memory's gone ignored
Not only she don't love me
She don't hate me anymoreAnd I know it might sound crazy
But I don't know what hurts me more
Is it the fact that she don't love me
Or she don't hate me anymore

Willmon was raised on a ranch near Afton, Texas. By his second year in college, he dropped out to join a bluegrass band. In 1995, he moved to Nashville to start a songwriting career, and by 1998 he had a song-publishing contract with Sea Gayle Music. One of his first cuts as a songwriter was "It Doesn't Mean I Don't Love You". This song was recorded by the short-lived duo McHayes (which comprised 1990s country singer Wade Hayes and fiddler Mark McClurg), and reached #41 on the country charts in 2003.
