She's In the Middle Lyrics

(gordon russell)
(plangent visions music ltd.)I've got this girl, she's got this man
I do my best, I try to do what I canShe's in the middle
She's in the middle
She's in the middle and
She doesn't know which way to turnI say to her that she's a mixed-up kid
She says to me, she says she know what she didShe's in the middle
She's in the middle
She's in the middle and
She doesn't know which way to turnCaught between two lovers, that's how the story goes
This could be the end and I hope you can see
What you're doing to meI can see you love him, I don't mind
But why do you have to have two of a kind? She's in the middle
She's in the middle
She's in the middle and
She doesn't know which way to turnCaught between two lovers, that's how the story goes
This could be the end and I hope you can see
What you're doing to meI've got this girl, she's got this man

I do my best, I try to do what I canShe's in the middle
She's in the middle
She's in the middle and
She doesn't know which way to turn
(repeat with adlib to fade)

Dr. Feelgood are a British pub rock band, formed in 1971. The classic line-up included Lee Brilleaux (b. 1953, d. 7 April 1994; vocals/harmonica), Wilko Johnson (b. John Wilkinson, 1947; guitar), John B. Sparks (b. 1953; bass) and John 'The Big Figure' Martin (drums). Initially based in Canvey Island, Essex, on the Thames estuary, Dr. Feelgood broke into the London circuit in 1974. Brilleaux's menacing personality complemented Johnson's propulsive, jerky stage manner, while the guitarist's staccato style dominated the group's idiosyncratic brand of angular rhythm and blues.
