Shot Down Lyrics

Turn the music up, turn the lights down
Betcha can't go the distance
It's the same old song
I've heard it all night longSummoning up my resistance
I did my time on the other side
Just to please those around me
But it's over now, I'm let loose
It feels so good to be living freeI thought I had the whole place wired
'Til the man stood up and fired
Shot down, it's the price you pay
Shot down for behaving this wayMake the music loud, turn the lights off
I didn't take you of your mind
Though the dress in white
I know that you're a slew
I've got no pity for your kindAnything you like, even with your wife
Shot down, shot down
I thought I had the whole place wired
'Til the man stood up and firedThen the lights went dim

Thought I heard someone scream
Shot down, it's the price you pay
Shot down for behaving this wayAnything you like, even with your wife
Oh, it's no crime to want to go to paradiseShot down, it's the price you pay
Shot down for behaving this way
Shot down, there's nothing you can say
Shot down, I've been shot, shot down

In the summer of 1989, three best friends, vocalist/guitarist Georg Dolivo, bassist Reeve Downes and guitarist Greg Fields met a drummer, Liam Jason, for the first time in a small rehearsal studio north of Los Angeles, California. They were soon to be one of the most popular bands to come out of the then exploding LA hard rock scene. Rhino Bucket featured no frills, “put it on 11” style deliberately reminiscent of bands such as Bon Scott-era AC/DC that quickly made them head-banging favorites.
