Silver City Lyrics

Well, I don't come from the city
I came here on the train
In search of something pretty
It's my heart, I have to blameWell, I don't come from the city
I came here on the train
In search of something pretty
It's my heart, I have to blameWell, I think that
I have found myself out on the floor
And I think that
We have lost ourselves forever moreWell, I don't come from the city
I came here on the train
In search of something pretty
It's my heart, I have to blameWell, I think that
I have found myself out on the floor
And I think that
We have lost ourselves forever more, oh, yeah, yeah

Exuma, born Macfarlane Gregory Anthony Mackey (February 18, 1942; Cat Island, Bahamas – January 25, 1997; Nassau, Bahamas) was known for his almost unclassifiable music. He recorded many albums, starting with Exuma: The Obeah Man in 1970 and ending with Rude Boy in 1986. His songs invoke influences from calypso, junkanoo, reggae, African and folk music with his lyrics dealing heavily with Obeah, a sorcerous Caribbean folk religion resembling African voudou.
