Silver Lining Lyrics

what about me
what about you
are we on our own
I won't call you anymore
and I'll find a silver lining
I know you loved me
back when we were friends
back when I was cool
before I broke some rule
now you've moved into another place
but I miss you still
as I always will
and then you say to me
you can't deny
there's something here that makes us hurt
and you say, isn't it love?
so what about me
what about you

are we on our own
and I won't call you anymore
and I'll find a silver lining
in my own black little cloud
maybe I was proud
maybe you were proud
the way we talked it out and walked away
like ghosts in the day
I have nothing new to offer you
you're my own best friend
and I'll say again
as you said to me
you can't deny
there's something here that makes us hurt
and you say, isn't it love?
so what about me
what about you
are we on our own
and I won't call you anymore
and I'll find a silver lining
in my own black little cloud
I'm alone
yes, I'm all right
I know that I can make it through this night
so what about me
what about you
are we on our own
and I won't call you anymore
and I'll find a silver lining
in my own black little cloud
so what about me
what about you
are we on our own
and I won't call you anymore
and I'll find a silver lining
yes I will
so what about me
what about you
are we on our own
and I won't call you anymore
and I'll find a silver lining
yes I will
yes I will
so what about me
what about you
are we on our own
so what about me
what about you
are we on our own
will we find a silver lining
will we find a silver lining
will we find a silver lining

The Rockfords (or more accurately, 'the rockfords') were a Seattle project band formed by friends who had already tasted success with their respective bands; Carrie Akre, Chris Friel and Danny Newcomb of Goodness and Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready. They were also joined by Rick Friel on bass. Their solo self-titled studio album was released on Epic in 2000, which featured Nancy Wilson (of Heart) contributing guest vocals on the track 'Riverwide'.
