Simple Minds, Simple Lives Lyrics

The marketing kings are at it again
Theyre selling you lies, becoming your friends
Until the endIrresistible charm, a well playing game
The target is you and theyre taking aim
So step outsideWe are simple minds, we live simple lives
And were doing what we love
Not trying to just appeal to you
Its when the push becomes the shoveAnd when you peel it all the away
Is it really true just what they say?
Is it really true just what they say?
Is it really true just what they say?Corporal contenders with imperial goals
Their hidden agendas arent always exposed
So write this downBuy into their bullshit, their copycat trends
Youll become a part for the message they send
Jot it downWe are simple minds, we live simple lives
And were doing what we love
Not trying to just appeal to you
Its when the push becomes the shoveAnd when you peel it all the away

Is it really true just what they say?
Is it really true just what they say?
Is it really true just what they say?(Just fall apart, just fall apart)
Is it really true just what they say?
(Just fall apart, just fall apart)
(Just fall apart, just fall apart)
Is it really true just what they say?
(Just fall apart, just fall apart)

Spitalfield was an alternative rock band based in Glen Ellyn, Chicago and signed to the Victory Records label. Formed in 1998, Spitalfield caught the attention of Victory Records with the 2002 release of The Cloak and Dagger Club EP and a year later released fan-favorite Remember Right Now. Spitalfield also released an album titled Stop Doing Bad Things in 2005 which featured songs like "Gold Dust V. The State Of Illinois" and "So I heard You Joined a Convent". The band's name comes from what members describe as a village where Jack the Ripper came from.
