Yerkey was born in 1950, the year of the tiger. Tigers are often cited as born leaders. Yerkey played guitar for many years with a band called Nonfiction. He was ultimately kicked out. Though he has admired a great many more from afar, Yerkey once owned a Cadillac of his very own. His first automobile was a 1971 Buick Centurian. He's currently making payments on a late model Toyota. Yerkey's prize possession is a blonde Gibson J35, which he likes to believe may have once belonged to Hank Williams. Or Bill Monroe.
