Six Feet Under Lyrics

Underneath the wallowing
Was a tiny hint of chemistry
I'd be a liar if I wouldn't admit
All of your hell gave me a higher lift
I begin to wonder through all of today
How you would be if the addiction had stayed
Laughing at pictures I feel so revived
One thing I said to keep my spirit aliveGoodbye, so long, I won't forget to write
'Cause I've tried but my world was so much colder
Like I was six feet underYou walk through halls with naked walls
Are you still hiding or have you evolved?
Would you want to know me, or be someone else?
I'll never know exactly how you felt
As I'm reminiscing, it wasn't your fault
I wish I could help you walk through it all
Are you shaking without it or feeling the high?
Jump in the water or keep closing your eyesGoodbye, so long, I won't forget to write
'Cause I've tried but my world was so much colder

Like I was six feet underDon't jump off the ledge just hang on the rail
Over and over we're set up to fail
Well I'll be around when it's time for your life to revive
Identify and find yourselfGoodbye, so long, I won't forget to write
'Cause I've tried but my world was so much colder
Now that we've both grown older
Just like I always told you
Feels like I'm six feet under

In 1997, four individuals - John Stephens (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Michael Raphael (guitar), Tommy Grubber (bass) and Brian Burwell (drums) - under the advisement of their management teams, came together and formed the group known as Neve (rhymes with Sleve). Signed to Columbia Records, their one and only single released prior to breaking up (It's Over Now) was featured on two cd's - the soundtrack for The Faculty and their self-titled cd, Neve. It's Over Now, produced by Matt Sereltic (known for his work with Angie Aparo, Rob Thomas, and Evan and Jaron) reached #25 on Billboard Charts.
