Skeleton Key Lyrics

Sail lightly on winds
Disappear on the breeze
Lie firmly on pins
Pull them out with easeSolid boned skeleton key
Opens the most intricate locks
Brother roll another for me
I am shipwrecked on the rocksSkeleton key
Ha ha ha
Skeleton key
Ha ha haFumble blindly as we speak
You will wither if you are weak
Finger turns and points at me
I'd hoped they wouldn't notice meSolid boned skeleton key
Opens the most intricate locks
Brother roll another for me
I am shipwrecked on the rocksSkeleton key
Skeleton key
Skeleton key

Skeleton keyWill I ever return?
Will I ever get back?
Are the rocks too high?
Has the dust turned black? Will I ever return?
Will I ever get back?
Are the rocks too high?
Has the dust turned black?Woo ooo ooo ooo
Yeeeah
Skeleton keyWoo ooo
Woo ooo
Woo ooo
Woo ooo
Haa
Skeleton key
Skeleton key
Skeleton key
Waooo
Skeleton keyWill I ever return?
Will I ever get back?
Are the rocks too high?
Has the dust turned black? Will I ever return?
Will I ever get back?
Are the rocks too high?
Has the dust turned black?Solid boned skeleton key
Opens the most intricate locks
Brother roll another for me
I am shipwrecked on the rocksOh yeah
Hey
(Oh, oh)
That's more like
[Incomprehensible]
Here we go here we go
(One two three four)
Here we go go Byker Grove
Can't believe it's so good
[Incomprehensible]
Can't believe it feels so good
[Incomprehensible]
Can't believe it feels so good
[Incomprehensible]
Can't believe it's so good
[Incomprehensible]
Can't believe it's so good
[Incomprehensible]
Can't believe it's so good
[Incomprehensible]
Can't believe it's so good

Born Margaret Wander, Dessa’s first release with Doomtree, False Hopes, introduced a unique sensibility to underground hip-hop: literary, bitter-sweet, and wry. She alternated between a clever, droll persona as an emcee and her earnest, unaffected delivery as a singer with a low, clear alto voice. Her a cappella arrangements delicate and expressive, full of sad, old world harmonies. False Hopes attracted a varied set of ferociously dedicated fans in the Midwest and beyond.
