Skip's Song Lyrics

If you'd seen the naked dream
I had of you
Would you care
And would you now come through?Take me far away
My miles and mind can't beat the dream of death today
Hard to get by
When what greets my eyes takes my breath awayIn my dream you are around the stars
I watched your walls all fall away
You were bare of thoughts, we were to part
And we stayed that waySome try to hide because they lied
They were not true, they were afraid
And they refuse to see or be free
Be one to the gods they prayedAhh, save me, save me, save me, save me
Save me, save me, save me
I'll save you, can I spend you?And now this naked dream
I had of you
And will you care
And will you now come throughTake me far away

My miles and mind can't beat a dream of death today
Oh, no, hard to get by
When what greets my eyes takes my breath awayOh, cryin', save me, save me, save me, save me
Save me, save me, save me
I'll save you, can I spend you?

Robert Anthony Plant CBE (born 20 August 1948, West Bromwich, Staffordshire, England) is a British rock singer famous for being the lead vocalist of one of the most influential rock bands of all time: Led Zeppelin. He is known for his powerful style with a wide vocal range. After Led Zeppelin's breakup following the sudden death of drummer John Bonham in 1980, Plant pursued a successful solo career. Popular tracks from this period include "Big Log," "Tall Cool One," and "I Believe." In 1984, Plant formed a short-lived all-star group with Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck and Phil Collins called The Honeydrippers, who had a Top Ten hit with a remake of the Phil Phillips' tune, "Sea of Love".

Plant's love of the music of Morocco led him to a new collaboration called Robert Plant And The Strange Sensation. The band's releases met with critical acclaim and numerous Grammy nominations. They completed the 2006 tour of Europe in September.

In 2007, Plant began recording and performing with bluegrass star Alison Krauss. A duet album, Raising Sand, was released on 23 October 2007 on Rounder Records. The album, recorded in Nashville and Los Angeles and produced by T-Bone Burnett met with enormous critical and commercial success.

The year of 2010 proves to be yet another successful year for the aging lemon squeezer. Durring the summer, Plant will be reuniting with his old, Pre-Zep group, The Band Of Joy, for a tour of the southern and mid continental tour of the US.
