Someone's Child Lyrics

A SPANDEX DRESS AND FISHNET HOSE
IN THE POURING RAIN IT WAS BITTER COLD
THEY FOUND HER THERE LYING IN THE STREET
WHERE SHED BEEN TURNING TRICKS SINCE SEVENTEEN
AND NO ONE KNEW HER NAME
NO ONE GAVE A SECOND THOUGHT WHEN THEY PUT HER IN A COUNTY GRAVECHORUS
SHE WAS SOMEONES CHILD, A PRECIOUS MIRACLE
SHE MADE SOMEONE SMILE, BORN BEAUTIFUL
EVEN THOUGH SHE HEARD A DIFFERENT DRUM
AND WALKED A DIFFERENT MILE
SHE WAS SOMEONES CHILDSHADY SCHEMES AND CROOKED DEALS
HE WOULD TELL YOU LIES WITH NERVES OF STEEL
ITS JUST WHITE COLLAR CRIME NO ONE GETS HURT
HE SAYS IF YOURE THAT DUMB ITS JUST WHAT YOU DESERVE
NOW HE CANT STAND THE SMELL
OR THE LIGHT THATS ALWAYS ON IN HIS EIGHT BY TEN FOOT CELL
CHORUSTHEY STRIPPED HIM BARE AND BEAT HIM DOWN
AND GIFTED HIM WITH A THORNY CROWN

WHO WAS THIS MAN THIS REBELIOUS JEW
WHO DIED FOR ME, WHO DIED FOR YOU
CHORUS

Enjoy the lyrics !!!

They say persistence pays off. And after six years of paying their dues and taking their licks on Music Row, Carolina Rain appears on their way to making that notion true. A union born in 1999 of a common love for acoustic, harmony-driven music, the Nashville based trio is only now beginning to reap the full benefits of a half-decade of hard work and determination. The band, whose name was derived from the first song they wrote together, is comprised of Rhean (pronounced Wren) Boyer, Jeremy Baxter, and Marvin Evatt .
