Something Must Break Lyrics

To waste and choose or raise the dead
With pain behind go straight ahead
Room full of people grouping as one
I can't break out now, the time just won't comeTo waste and choose which way to go
Decide for me, please, let me know
Looked in the mirror, saw I was wrong
If I could get back to where I belong, where I belongTo waste and choose which way to go
I paused for one whose signs forbode
If we were immortal, we would not bear
Washed up on the beach here, struggle for airI see your face still in my window
Tormented clouds won't set me free

Jawbox was a post-hardcore band which formed in 1989 in Washington D.C., United States. The band consisted of J Robbins (vocals, guitar), Bill Barbot (guitar), Kim Coletta (bass) and Adam Wade (drums). The band split in 1997. In their eight-year existence, Jawbox released four studio albums of increasingly skillful post-punk, not necessarily carrying the torch of their Washington DC, elders (Minor Threat, Embrace, Rites of Spring), but instead building on the tradition of Chicago's thriving early-'80s scene (Big Black, Naked Raygun, Effigies).
