Somewhere Over the Rainbow Lyrics

When all the world is a hopeless jumble
And the raindrops tumble all around
Heaven opens a magic lane
When all the clouds darken up the skyway
There's a rainbow highway to be found
Leading from your windowpane
To a place behind the sun
Just a step beyond the rain
Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high
There's a land that I dreamed of
Once in a lullaby
Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true
Someday I wish upon a star
Wake up where the clouds are far behind me

Where troubles melt like lemon drops
High above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me
Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly
Birds fly over the rainbow
Why then, oh, why can't I?
Someday I wish upon a star
Wake up where the clouds are far behind me
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
High above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me
Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly
Birds fly over the rainbow
Why then, oh, why can't I?

New England born singer/songwriter, Bob Lyons, weaves story-like lyrics, folk melodies, and blues riffs into a unique sound. An up and coming performer and songwriter in the early 1980s, Lyons' musical ambitions were dramatically altered when an accident badly damaged his right hand.
After relocating to Ohio in 1988, Bob soon met and began working with music producer, Chris Weibel. He has just completed his third CD project, titled "Where the River Starts"; it is slated for release, later this year.

Music influences include Jose Feliciano, Ray Charles, Jim Croce, James Taylor, Harry Chapin, Bill Withers, Michael Card, Peter Gabriel, Seals and Croft
