Southern Comfort Lyrics

Well, I know a lady in Alabam'
And one or two in Louisian'
And when my troubles feel like the weight of the world
I go to the arms of those Southern girlsAnd get that Southern comfort
Whenever my soul hurts
Southern comfort, it makes me feel so fineA Mississippi miss will set you free
And so will those ladies up in Tennessee
And if you ain't had yourself a Georgia kiss
You don't know what you have missedI love that Southern comfort
Whenever my soul hurts
Southern comfort, it makes me feel so fineSo here's to the ladies with the soft Texas drawls
And all of those beauties in Arkansas
From up in Kentucky to Caroline
I'll never get you off of my mindI love your Southern comfort
Whenever my soul hurts
Southern comfort, it makes me feel so fineI love your Southern comfort
Whenever my soul hurts
Southern comfort, it makes me feel so fine, so fine

Conway Twitty (1 September 1933 – 5 June 1993), born Harold Lloyd Jenkins, was one of the United States' most successful artists of the 20th century. Twitty had the most singles (55) reach Number 1 on various national music charts. Conway Twitty's across the board totals were greater than that of Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, the Beatles, and Garth Brooks. Most notably known as a country music singer, Twitty also enjoyed success in early Rock and Roll, R&B, and Pop music (among other genres). He teamed up with Loretta Lynn to form one of country music's most successful business partnerships.
