Southern Skies (Acoustic) Lyrics

I want to see the full moon in the southern sky
I want to take you back to, back to when we felt alive
And I don't know why
I don't know how to say
Come with me tonight, we'll fall without a fight
I want to make a toast to the love that never dies
I want to see the world through, through someone else's eyes
And get swept away
For just one more day, I'd say
Now I'm done with running away
Burn me
You go and burn me down
I need you now
Turn me around
Ooh, you got me
Yeah, you got me
It's safe to say
I'm done with running awayIf I had it my way we'd put the past aside

We'd take the boat to the bay and leave the whole world behind
As the sea takes hold
Of our tales untold, I'd say
Come with me tonight, we'll fall without a fight
If you're scared it's ok
If you leave it's fine
If you must run away leaving us to wonder why
If we had more time
If I found the lines to say
Now I'm done with running away
Burn me
You go and burn me down
I need you now
Turn me around
Ooh, you got me
Yeah, you got me
It's safe to say
I'm done with running awayThe fire hits my tongue
The lightening starts to feel my lungs
And the words I meant to say are pouring out one by one
I've been searching now for something real
For a way to feel, just strong enough to say
I'm done with running awayBurn me
You go and burn me down
I need you now
Turn me around
Ooh, you got me
Yeah, you got me
It's safe to sayBurn me (the fire hits my tongue)
You go and burn me down (the words I meant to say are pouring out one by one)
I need you now
Turn me around (well turn me around)
Ooh, you got me
Yeah, you got me
It's safe to say
I'm done with running away
