Speak of the Devil Lyrics

You say your man
Is a jealous kind
He knocks you down
And he blacks your eye
Slept for days
He drank the night
Looking for trouble
To start a fight
Speak of the devil
Here he comes after you
Can't be harming little angel
All Hell's gonna be loose
You say your man
Leaves you crying
He spends your money
Steals you blind

He turns away
From all your friends
He throws you out
When you pay the rent
Speak of the devil
Here he comes after you
Can't be harming little angel
All Hell's gonna be loose
You say your man
Who treats you mean
Checks his temper
Bad seems
He got a head
As hard as stone
He thinks you're cheating
If you ain't alone
Speak of the devil
Here he comes after you
Can't be harming little angel
All Hell's gonna be loose

John Mayall (born November 29, 1933) is a pioneering English blues singer, songwriter, guitarist, keyboard player and harmonica player. John Mayall is often referred to as the "Father of the British blues." His well-known band is still called John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers. They started out in the late 1950s in England, using Chicago style blues as a starting basis for their sound, which has evolved from album to album. And while at one point John Mayall was playing a fairly jazzy sound, he has always come back to the blues.
