Spider and the Fly Lyrics

Empty hearts I can hear them talking
I close my eyes and I keep on stalking
my love
my loveno one's aware of the hunger I feel
it's something you or time cannot heal
I need someone to help me rise aboveEternal bliss is something I can show you
spread your arms and let my wings enfold you
my loveIn the darkness shades of crimson rapture
the world is ours alone to capture
my loveCome over here and let me tell you something
nothing ever comes of nothing
we pay a price for all our choices madecome along now and take my hand
I'll lead you to a promised land
the morning after it may never come again,
never be the same...

Barbecue Bob (Robert Hicks, Walnut Grove, Georgia, September 11, 1902 – Lithonia, Georgia, October 21, 1931) was an American Piedmont blues musician. He used a bottleneck regularly on his 12-string guitar, playing in an elemental style that relied on an open Spanish tuning reminiscent of Charley Patton. He had a strong voice that he embellished with growling and falsetto, and a percussive singing style.
