Transcriber: [email protected] could be a spoonful of coffee
It could be a spoonful a-tea
But one little spoon
Of your precious love
Is good enough for meMen lie about that spoonful
Some cry about that spoonful
Some die about that spoonful
Ev'rybody fight about a spoonfulThat spoon, that spoon

That spoonful(guitar & instrumental)It could be a spoonful a-water
To save you from the desert sand
But one spoon of lead
From my forty-five
Will save you from another manMen lie-ii about that spoonful
Some cry-ii about that spoonful
Some die-ii about that spoonful
Ev'rybody fight about a spoonfulThat spoon, that spoon
That spoonful
That spoon, that spoon
That spoonful(guitar & instrumental)(piano & instrumental)It could be a spoonful a-sugar
It could be a spoonful a-tea
But one little spoon
Of your precious love
Is good enough for me-eeMen lie-ii about that spoonful
Some cry-ii about that spoonful
Some die-ii about that spoonful
Ev'rybody fight about a spoonfulThat spoon, that spoon
That spoonful
A-that spoon, that spoon
That spoonfulThat spoon, that spoon
That spoonful
That spoon, that spoon
That spoonful.

Willie Dixon (born July 1, 1915, Vicksburg, Miss., U.S.-died Jan. 29, 1992, Burbank, Calif.) was a U.S. musician who influenced the emergence of electric blues and rock music. In 1936 Dixon moved from his native Mississippi to Chicago, won an Illinois Golden Gloves boxing championship, and began selling his songs. He played double bass in several bands before joining Chess Records. His lively compositions, which he sold for as little as $30, included “Little Red Rooster,” “You Shook Me,” and “Back Door Man”; many were later recorded by Muddy Waters, Elvis Presley, and the Rolling Stones.
