Still (LP Version) Lyrics

Trick of the light
Or just
A loss of perspective
Flaw in the grand plan
Just
The way it isLooks good from a distance
But
The closer I come
It...
Becomes more daunting
But
These moments will passStill
Halfway up the hill
My fingers may bleed
But I've got to get there
Still
Standing on the hill
My spirit's released

But I've got to get thereLost in an abstract thought
Dazed and distracted
Winded yet still I'm caught
With a fragment of doubt
Slowed by reflection
But
These moments will passStill
Halfway up the hill
My fingers may bleed
But I've got to get there
Still
Standing on the hill
My spirit's released
But I've got to get thereIt's just confusion
An illusion
Easily overdone
Here comes resolution
AbsolutionIt's not an illusion
Not a fiction
Easily overcome
Here comes revolution
AbsolutionTrick of the light
Or just
Too much perspective
Looks good from a distance
But
The closer I come
It
Becomes more daunting
But
These moments will passstill

Geddy Lee OC (born Gary Lee Weinrib, July 29, 1953) is a Canadian musician who is the vocalist, bassist, and keyboardist for the progressive rock group Rush. Born in Toronto, Ontario, Lee grew up as the son of Polish-Jewish parents who were survivors of Nazi concentration camps Dachau and Bergen-Belsen. Lee's stage name (and later legal name) "Geddy" was inspired by the heavily-accented pronunciation of his given first name "Gary" by his mother. In 2004, Canadian Jewish News would feature Lee's reflections upon her experiences and his own Jewish heritage.
