Strange Love Lyrics

Advisory - the following lyrics contain explicit language:
Everybody wants to know
If we fucked on the bathroom sink
How your hands felt in my hair
If we were high on amphetamines
And everybody wants to hear
How we chain smoked until three
How you laughed when you said my name
And how you gripped my hips so meanWe wrote a story in the fog on the windows that night
But the ending is the same every damn time
No no no

We wrote a story in the fog on the windows that night
But the ending is the same every damn timeThey think I'm insane
They think my lover is strange
But I don't have to fucking tell them anything
Anything
And I'm gonna write it all down
And I'm gonna sing it on stage
But I don't have to fucking tell you anything
AnythingThat's the beauty of a secret
You know you're supposed to keep it
That's the beauty of a secret
Oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh-oooh
That's the beauty of a secret
You know you're supposed to keep it
But I don't have to fucking tell you anything
AnythingEverybody's waiting up
To hear if I dare speak your name
Or put it deep beneath the track
Like the hole you left in me
And everybody wants to know
About how it felt to hear you scream
They know you walk like you're a god
They can't believe I made you weakWe wrote a story in the fog on the windows that night
But the ending is the same every damn time
No no no
We wrote a story in the fog on the windows that night
But the ending is the same every damn timeThey think I'm insane
They think my lover is strange
But I don't have to fucking tell them anything
Anything
And I'm gonna write it all down
And I'm gonna sing it on stage
But I don't have to fucking tell you anything
AnythingThat's the beauty of a secret
You know you're supposed to keep it
That's the beauty of a secret
Oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh-oooh
That's the beauty of a secret
You know you're supposed to keep it
But I don't have to fucking tell you anything
AnythingThese days I can't seem
To get along with anyone
Get by with anyone
These days I can't seem
To make this right
Well is this fine?
Will you be alright? They think I'm insane
They think my lover is strange
But I don't have to fucking tell them anything
Anything
And I'm gonna write it all down
And I'm gonna sing it on stage
But I don't have to fucking tell you anything
AnythingThat's the beauty of a secret
You know you're supposed to keep it
That's the beauty of a secret
Oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh-oooh
That's the beauty of a secret
You know you're supposed to keep it
But I don't have to fucking tell you anything
Anything

Ashley Nicolette Frangipane (born September 29, 1994), known by her stage name Halsey /ˈhɔːl.zɪ/, is an American singer and songwriter. She started songwriting at the age of 17. In 2014, she signed her first recording contract with Astralwerks and released her debut EP, titled Room 93. Her debut studio album, Badlands, was released in 2015.

Halsey was born in New Jersey as Ashley Frangipane. She is biracial, with an African American father and an Italian American mother. Halsey had musical roots growing up, originally playing the violin, viola, and cello until moving onto the acoustic guitar when she was 14. The first song she learned to play on the guitar is said to be Taylor Swift's song "Fifteen". Around the age of 16 or 17, she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. When she was 18, Halsey encountered financial trouble and music became a way to pay her rent. She played numerous acoustic shows in different cities under various stage names. She chose "Halsey" as her moniker because it is an anagram of her real name as well as a street in Brooklyn where she spent a lot of time as a teenager. Halsey originally planned on going to college to major in fine arts but instead enrolled in a community college as a creative writing major after realizing she could not afford it. Halsey identifies as bisexual.
