Stranger Here...Than Over There Lyrics

Down, down, down
Always make the same mistakes, again
Down, down, always down
Always make the same mistakeTalk is cheap but you're talking fast
Never take the time to think of where it will end
Walk and talk, don't look back
I don't know which way it's gonna lead me, babyI try so hard but I can't understand, lead me, baby
Just help me get my feet on the groundDown, down, down
Wandering through the places that we both used to go
'Round, 'round, always 'round
Chase me and sedate me now but don't let me goRestless sleep, locked in my lonely room
Empty arms are waiting for the morning to come
In the deep, where my dreams come true
Take care nowI'll keep you now but lead me, baby
I try so hard but I can't understand, lead me, baby
But help me get my feet on the ground, yes
Help me, help me baby, help me baby, help meI can't stay down for too long now, baby
I can't stay down for too long now, my babyIf I'm crying, well it's 'cause I'm lonely

You know I'm only ever lonely without you
If I cry, well it's 'cause I'm lonely
'Cause I can be so lonely, I can be so lonely, I can be

Robert Anthony Plant CBE (born 20 August 1948, West Bromwich, Staffordshire, England) is a British rock singer famous for being the lead vocalist of one of the most influential rock bands of all time: Led Zeppelin. He is known for his powerful style with a wide vocal range. After Led Zeppelin's breakup following the sudden death of drummer John Bonham in 1980, Plant pursued a successful solo career. Popular tracks from this period include "Big Log," "Tall Cool One," and "I Believe." In 1984, Plant formed a short-lived all-star group with Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck and Phil Collins called The Honeydrippers, who had a Top Ten hit with a remake of the Phil Phillips' tune, "Sea of Love".

Plant's love of the music of Morocco led him to a new collaboration called Robert Plant And The Strange Sensation. The band's releases met with critical acclaim and numerous Grammy nominations. They completed the 2006 tour of Europe in September.

In 2007, Plant began recording and performing with bluegrass star Alison Krauss. A duet album, Raising Sand, was released on 23 October 2007 on Rounder Records. The album, recorded in Nashville and Los Angeles and produced by T-Bone Burnett met with enormous critical and commercial success.

The year of 2010 proves to be yet another successful year for the aging lemon squeezer. Durring the summer, Plant will be reuniting with his old, Pre-Zep group, The Band Of Joy, for a tour of the southern and mid continental tour of the US.
