Strife Lyrics

My anxiety's clawing
Out from deep within me
It burns within as my throat begins to cauterizeThis negativity's leeching
Any shred of composure
Rationale has decayed and left me bound in madnessI reach for calm
I starve for a balance unknown
This burden tortures me deep in my soulI've found that strife won't make the bleeding stop
Nor will it take away the pain
I feel like this search is all in vain
And I struggle to find my wayHow I yearn for the silence
For an end to the voices
The calamity grows and the deafness leads to disarrayGuilt buries me alive
In a coffin - criticized
I shouldered the blame and dug this hole for me to lay inI reach for calm
I starve for a balance unknown
This burden tortures me deep in my bonesI've found that strife won't make the bleeding stop
Nor will it take away the pain
I feel like this search is all in vain

And I struggle to find my wayI've found that strife won't make the bleeding stop
Nor will it take away the pain
I feel like this search has been all in vain
And I struggle to find my waySolo: CKB
Solo: MKHI've found that strife won't make the bleeding stop
Nor will it take away the pain
I feel like this search is all in vain
And I struggle to find my wayI've found that strife won't make the bleeding stop
Nor will it take away the pain
I feel like this search has been all in vain
And I struggle to find my way

Nasum was a grindcore band from Örebro, Sweden. The band was formed during the later part of 1992 by Anders Jakobson (guitar) and Rickard Alriksson (drums/vocals) as a sideproject to the death metal band Necrony. The idea was to create true grindcore in the vein of old Napalm Death. Spring 1993: Necrony's homelabel, German Poserslaughter Records offered Nasum to share a 7" EP with Australian goregrinders Blood Duster. Nasum accepted the offer, but in time the record turned out to be a Nasum/Agathocles split-7" EP.
