Stronger Than Dirt Lyrics

Somebody wake me up
The dream is growing cold
And the night is all we have
Left to holdSomebody sail this ship
Navigate this crowd
For what I once saw as land
I see as cloudBut I am stronger than you
And I am braver than you
And I will still be here
When the dust has clearedSometimes nothing is
The better hand
And you throw it all for this
I understandBut I am stronger than you
And I am braver than you
And I will still be here
When the dust has cleared will you
Will you, will you, will youAnd I will still be here
When the dust has cleared

And I will still be here
When the dust has cleared
Will youYou will never get close to me
You will never get close to me
This is who we are
This is who we areYou will never get close to me
Who we are...
You will never get close to me
Who we are...

The Ardels (and not The Ardells from Pennsylvania ) formed in Etobicoke, Ontario 1n 1963 and, after a series of personnel changes which saw Bruce Saracini, the original singer, replaced by Doug Dixon and Robin Scott replaced by Jim Pernokis on guitar, quickly became one of Toronto's most popular young cover bands, playing extensively at high school and church dances. The original five (Brennan, Burt, Dixon, Masson and Pernokis) were joined by McKay on Tenor Saxophone in 1964.
