Subject To Change Lyrics

Relent to your useless devices
Retreat your last line of defense
Regress to the hollow relationships
That shield you from yourself
Relent to your fortress of skin
Retreat anything to distract
Regress to your hands as they cover your eyes
But you can't help peek through the cracks
Co-co-cold, hard dread swelling into parallels
To everything you ever said you'd repel
Once with a glimpse now, second your guess
It's tough to admit and admit and admit that
Once with a glimpse now, second your guess
It's tough to admit and admit and admit that
Your fate's still undecided
Return, return, return
Return, return, return
Return, return, return

Return, return, return
Relent to the terror that distances you
Retreat to habitual grins
Regress to deception, so quiet and tame
Once was transformed, now exactly the same
Co-co-cold, hard dread swelling into parallels
To everything you ever said you'd repel
Once with a glimpse now, second your guess
It's tough to admit and admit and admit that
Once with a glimpse now, second your guess
It's tough to admit and admit and admit that
Your fate's still undecided
Return, return, return
Return, return, return
Return, return, return
Return, return, return
Return to yourself
Return
Remember when you nearly plunged into embrace
But instead you've chosen to keep it all at bay
Cold, hard dread swelling into parallels
To everything you ever said you'd repel
Co-co-cold, hard dread swelling into parallels
To everything you ever said you'd repel
Once with a glimpse now, second your guess
It's tough to admit and admit and admit that
Once with a glimpse now, second your guess
It's tough to admit and admit and admit that
Return, return, return
Return, return, return
Return, return, return
Return, return, return

Charleston, SC "Loud and personal,” is one of the ways that lead singer/guitarist Nathan Hussey describes All Get Out. Generally when a band is self-described as loud, imagery of guitars propelling distortion and mood over the audience is the resonance to dwell on and personal is not often the conjoined description. Loud has always been the cryptic way to say a band likes to hide behind blankets of fuzz and hard to decipher symbolisms that keep the players of the song at restraining order distance from the audience. With All Get Out nothing is hidden; everything is personal; and loud.
