Sunday Kind Of Love Lyrics

I want a Sunday kind of love
A love to last, past Saturday night
I'd like to know that it's more than love at first sight
I need a Sunday kind of love
Oh, yeah, yeahI need a, a love that's on the square
Can't seem to find that somebody, someone to care
I'm on a lonely road that leads me nowhere
I need a Sunday kind of loveI do my Sunday dreaming, oh yeah, all my Sunday scheming
Every minute, every hour, every day
Oh, I'm hoping to discover that certain kind of lover
Who will show me the wayMy arms need someone to enfold
Keeping me warm when Monday's, oh, and Tuesday's grow cold
Love for all my life to have and to hold
Oh, I want a Sunday kind of loveI do my Sunday dreaming, oh yeah, all my Sunday scheming
Every minute, every hour, every single day
Oh, I'm hoping to discover that certain kind of lover
Who will show me the wayMy arms need someone to enfold
Keeping me warm when Monday's, oh, and Tuesday's grow cold

Love for all my life to have and to hold
Oh, I want a Sunday kind of loveOh, yeah
I want a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
Or Thursday, Friday or Saturday
Oh, nothin', nothin' but a Sunday
Oh, yeah
I want a Sunday, Sunday
Oh, I want a Sunday kind of love

Mary Stallings (born August 16, 1939 in San Francisco) is an American jazz vocalist. One of the gifted, swinging vocalists in jazz, spent decades as a local San Francisco legend before reestablishing her national profile in the mid-1990s. Her voice, sturdy and nonvirtuosic, has a rich low end; its clearest template is Dinah Washington. And above all it's a jazz voice, not an R&B voice; she's for real. Perhaps the best jazz singer singing today. -- New York Times
