Survivor Lyrics

When your mind ain't right, and it's hard to sleep
And you try to hide the pain, but your scars are deep
Nigga look me in my eyes and tell me what you see, yea
When your mind ain't right, and it's hard to sleep
And you try to hide the pain, but your scars are deep
Nigga look me in my eyes and tell me what you see
And my heart is like
There's one thing poppa told me
If nothing else in this world, it's how to survive
When I'm against all odds, and when the odds against me
I travel wherever my path may lead
Knowing nobody got my back like me
I'm gonna survive
And if you walk in my shoes
Guarantee you'll be just like me
And my heart is like
And if you leave me alone in the V with the chrome
I won't hurt nothing, but I need to be alone

Nigga just me and my Sam Cooke tapes
And my heart is like
And baby if you don't understand
Then I gotta let you go go go
Geah
And my heart is like
I'm talking all along the way
With all I used to say, I almost couldn't take it
Said I wouldn't make it, to be twenty one
I'm a stand up on my own two
And my heart is like
I've traveled high and low and
If there's one thing I know I know I know
I know how to survive
When your mind ain't right, and it's hard to sleep
And you try to hide the pain, but your scars are deep
Nigga look me in my eyes and tell me what you see, yea
When your mind ain't right, and it's hard to sleep
And you try to hide the pain, but your scars are deep
Nigga look me in my eyes and tell me what you see
Nigga I'm a soldier, ain't nobody gonna hold me down
Hold me down, nah
Now that I'm closer, all the snakes play me closely now
And my soul is like
Homey I'm a soldier, ain't nobody gonna' hold me down
And my mind is like
Now that I'm closer, all the snakes play me closely now
And my soul is like
Just living on the edge homey ain't no joke
And nah baby bro I don't smoke, but go ahead
Playa playa
You can like that, I'm good
And my soul is like, baby if you don't understand
Then I gotta let you go go go, I'm sorry baby
I remember when they hated on me but I made it homey yea
I remember when they hated on me, yea
Don't smile at me now, yea, and my soul is like
If you wasn't there for the bad, nigga don't come when it's good
Now dog, it ain't all good
Wonder what made him think it was still all good, yea
And my soul is like
And my soul is like
When your mind ain't right, and it's hard to sleep
And you try to hide the pain, but your scars are deep
Nigga look me in my eyes and tell me what you see, yea
And my soul is like
When your mind ain't right, and it's hard to sleep
And you try to hide the pain, but your scars are deep
Nigga look me in my eyes and tell me what you see
And my soul is like
Nigga I'm a soldier, ain't nobody gonna' hold me down
Now that I'm closer, all the snakes play me closely now
And my heart is like
Homey I'm a soldier, ain't nobody gonna' hold me down
Now that I'm closer, all the snakes play me closely now
And my heart is like I can't think right now
I can't cope, can't drink, can't smoke
And my soul is like I can't eat right now
I'm not healthy, I'm asking you God help me like please
