Los Chamos were a famous Venezuelan music group, formed in Caracas, Venezuela in 1979. They were formed as competition to Menudo, who were very famous in Venezuela, at the time. Unlike Menudo, Los Chamos were made up of six members instead of five. They released their self titled album exclusively in Venezuela, and began touring South America and other parts of Latin America, soon after. In 1982, they released their second album, which would contain their signature song Canta Chamo, a Spanish cover of the song Crazy Music by Ottawan.
