Talk To Me Baby (I Can't Hold Out) Lyrics

Talked to my baby on the telephone, she said
Stop what you're doing and come on homeI can't hold on
I can't hold on
I get a real good feeling
Talking to you on the phoneShe said daddy, don't you worry, don't you cry
You know I love you baby, said you're my heart's desireI can't hold on
I can't hold on
I get a real good feeling
Talking to you on the phoneShe said, daddy don't you worry, don't you cry
You know I love you baby, said you're my heart's desireI can't hold on
I can't hold on
I get a real good feeling
Talking to you on the phoneTalk to me baby
Talk to me baby
Talk to me baby
Talk to me babyI get a real good feeling
Talking to you on the phone

James was born fifty miles north of Jackson (not to be confused with another Richland just south of Jackson). He began playing as a teen, under the names "Cleanhead" and "Joe Willie James", alongside musicians such as the first Sonny Boy Williamson, Howlin' Wolf, and Robert Johnson. During World War II James joined the United States Navy and was stationed in Guam.
