Tears, Scars & Lies Lyrics

I cannot forget all the heartaches you put me through
When I am constantly reminded by the things that you do
I just can't let go of the pain and the hurt inside
When I wear the scars from all the times that you've lied
Gray skies and lonely paths
Thinking about my baby helps me get by
I'm trapped in a world where nobody knows my name
Opinions flying everywhere driving me insane
My momma said there will be days like this
So you better count your pennies cause you might just need a wish
I got to be strong
Continue to hold on
And send a message through the words of this song
I cannot forget all the heartaches you put me through
When I am constantly reminded by the things that you do
I just can't let go of the pain and the hurt inside
When I wear the scars from all the times that you've lied
I've given you all that it took my whole life to learn

But all you gave me were your lies in return
As hard as I tried I can't seem to forgive
All the time you robbed me of all my self respect
Funny how tables turn
When nobody seems to recognize me
I know you tell me keep holdin' on
But my arms aren't strong as they used to be
I cannot forget all the heartaches you put me through
When I am constantly reminded by the things that you do
I just can't let go of the pain and the hurt inside
When I wear the scars from all the times that you've lied

There are multiple artists called Mista: 1) When Bobby Valentino first started his music career he was in a youth quartet called Mista. The group had a hit with the song Blackberry Molasses. Mista's rich soulful sound was refreshing for a group so young. Their second release was a melodical tune about young love entitled Lady. They then released their debut self-titled album Mista. They went on to record two more albums before disbanding in 1997. Mista's four members were Bobby "Valentino" Wilson, Byron Reeder, Brandon Brown and Darryl Allen.
