Testify Lyrics

Somebody oughta testify
Oh somebody oughta testify
Say for God I'll live, for God I'll die
Somebody oughta testifyThere's been times in my life when I was down and in despair
I fell down on my knees and I called on God in prayer
I thanked Him for His blessings
I named them one by one
But most of all I thank You God for all You've doneSomebody oughta testify
Oh somebody oughta testify
Say for God I'll live, for God I'll die
Somebody oughta testifyThose Hebrew boys can testify how God took out the heat in that fiery fire
Come here Daniel; what do you have to say?
The lions were made pillows for my head to laySomebody oughta testify
Oh somebody oughta testify
Say for God I'll live, for God I'll die
Somebody oughta testifySaid for God I'll live
For God I'll die
Somebody oughta testify

Somebody oughta testify
Somebody oughta testify

Dottie Peoples is an American gospel singer. Peoples was born in Dayton, Ohio and began singing at an early age. After completing high school, she was given the opportunity to tour with gospel pioneer Dorothy Norwood, a member of The Caravans. From there, Peoples briefly joined a jazz ensemble, performing in various venues across the country. Peoples soon realized that singing secular music was not what she was called to do; she relocated to Atlanta and returned to her gospel roots.
