That's What They Say Lyrics

Well, they say you're running all over town
You gonna put me down
Well, I don't believe it
But that's what they sayThey say you're playing me for a fool
The situation ain't cool
And I should just leave it
But that's what they sayAnd they say that we should be far apart
You're break my poor heart if I stay
And I keep trying hard to ignore
But they telling me more everydayAnd I don't believe them
But that's what they say
I don't believe them
But that's what they sayAnd they say that you've been with other guys
You've just been telling me lies
About those people and places
Well, that's what they sayThey say that I should find me someone
Who won't be tempted to run
To all those handsome faces

And that's what they sayThose people talking there are my friends
They know my heart depends on you
But they keep trying to warn me each day
Girl, tell me, is what they saying is true, my dearSo tonight I'm gonna follow you around
To all those places in town
See the things that you're doing
And the games that you play'Cause I don't believe them
But that's what they say
And no, no, I don't believe them
But that's what they sayYeah, yeahYeah, yeah
That's what they say
Yeah, yeah
That's what they say
Tryin' to ignore it, baby
Yeah, yeah
That's what they say
They keep trying to make more out of her
Yeah, yeah
That's what they say
I'm blind, cheating on her
Yeah, yeah
That's what they say

The Jeff Healey Band was a Canadian blues-rock band led by guitarist and vocalist Jeff Healey (born Norman Jeffrey Healey on March 25, 1966 in Toronto, Canada; died March 2, 2008). Formed in 1986 in Toronto, ON, the original lineup consisted of Jeff Healey, Joe Rockman on bass, and Tom Stephen on drums.

The group played around small Toronto-area clubs for a few years before eventually signing with BMG Canada and Arista Records for the rest of the world, and releasing their debut album See The Light in 1988, which featured the top charting hits "Angel Eyes" and "See The Light".

The band played and recorded blues/blues rock-infused music along with many original-flavored covers. The band officially released five studio albums and one live recording including the sophomore Hell To Pay (1990), Feel This (1992), Cover To Cover (1995), Get Me Some (2000), and Live At Montreux 1999 (2005). There have also been some recent unofficial compilation releases without the consent of the artists.

The band performed a cameo role in the Patrick Swayze movie "Roadhouse" and they are featured in its official soundtrack.

The group split up in the late 2000, with Healey continuing performing as a solo artist and later as Jeff Healey & The Jazz Wizards playing trumpet. Healey died on March 2, 2008 after a long battle with cancer.
