That's Where I Went Wrong Lyrics

What's your name?
I'm so far from my home and I'm tired
I don't want to be alone and I need
someone to talk to me
cause the one that used to talk to me
well, he don't want me
See this ring
Tell me whats it mean to you, yet its pretty
but to me it just meant true
I'm so sorry, for being such a bore,
cause this ring and everything means nothing anymore
This bus is awful cold, we've gone so many miles
God please help me go to sleep and forget him for a while
I know it's not his fault, I've known it all along
I was the one that trusted him
That's where I went wrong

This old road
I don't know where it leads and I don't care
cause it's not hard for me to see him when it ends
There'll be nothing there for me cause the only thing I care about
I've got to live without
This bus is awful cold, we've gone so many miles
God please help me go to sleep and forget him for a while
I know it's not his fault, I've known it all along
I was the one that trusted him
That's where I went wrong

The Poppy Family was a late 1960s-early 70s Canadian pop musical group based in Vancouver, British Columbia. A product of the "Hippie generation," they brought a cleaner cut image, capitalizing on the vocal talents and good looks of Susan Jacks. Managed and produced by her husband Terry Jacks (vocals/guitar), with Craig McCaw (guitar) and Satwan Singh (drums), the group recorded two albums, from which came their best known songs Which Way You Goin', Billy? and That's Where I Went Wrong (1969).
The Poppy Family disbanded in 1973.
