The Banality of Evil Lyrics

Ive got me a badge, a bright shiny badge
Im painting the crest in yellow and blue
Ive got me a club, an exclusive club
Doesnt include a place for youHey, hello neighbor
Hey, hello neighbor, right you areIts in the way that you walk
All of the changes, all the mistakes
It's in the demands you constantly makeIts in the way that you grieve
All of the loss
You dont know when youre better off
Or at what cost youve got it goodHey, the banality of evilBenevolent mother smother the child
The benefactors are in denialHey, hello neighbor
Hey, hello neighbor, right you areThere was a time not so long ago
I was master of everything I surveyed
Yes, there was a time
We did it my way, well do things my wayBenevolent mother, smother the child
The perpetrators are in denialThe banality of evilKing of the castle, room at the top
Off with their heads, chop em offThe banality of evilBenevolent mother, smother the child
The benefactors are in denialThe banality of evilKing of the castle, room at the top

Off with their heads, chop em offHey, hello neighborI dont believe in what you believe
You skin is filthy and your gods dont look like god to meBut I want to touch you
Now that isnt right, no, that cant be right
But I want to touch you
Youre leading me on, I know itHeyKing of the castle, more room at the top
All sorts allowed, now the gloves are offHey, hello neighborBenevolent mother, smother the child
The benefactors are in denialThe banality of evilKing of the castle, room at the top
Off with their heads, chop em offThe banality of evilBenevolent mother, smother the child
The perpetrators are in denialThe banality of evilKing of the castle, room at the top
Off with their heads, chop em offThe banality of evil
Hey, the banality of evil
Hey, the banality of evil
Hey, the banality of evilHey
