The Big Beat Lyrics

I got the big beat
I hear the sound
I got the big beat
I get on downI hear the big beat
All through the town
I got the big beat
I get aroundThere's no time for hesitation
We got all we need to know
Don't deny the situation
Find it everywhere you goLife it's the big beat
Roll to the sound
I got the big beat
Oh gather 'roundI got the big beat
Down in my shoes
I got the big beat
I'm gonna give it to youIt's the line of fascination
It's the rage both near and far
Synchronize a generation - yeah

It don't matter who you are - oh yeahI got the big beat
I'll show you how
I got the big beat
You got it now - oh yeah

Billy Squier (born May 12, 1950, in Wellesley Hills, Massachusetts) is a rock musician. Squier had a string of arena rock and power ballad hits in the 1980s. He is probably best known for the song "The Stroke" on his 1981 album release Don't Say No, which has been certified as Triple-Platinum by the RIAA. Other hits include "Lonely Is The Night", "Everybody Wants You", "Rock Me Tonite" and "In The Dark". Squier left the music industry in the mid-1990s, due in part to issues with his label. He has been active in the 2000s, touring both as a single artist and as a member of the 'Ringo Starr & His All Starr Band'. Before fronting the band titled in his name, Squire was the frontman of the power pop group Piper.
