Christofer “C-Money” Welter is best known for his work playing trumpet and keyboards in John Brown’s Body and Slightly Stoopid, two of the top reggae bands touring today. While in John Brown’s Body, C-Money recorded four full-length albums with the East Coast’s premiere reggae band and toured with them for 8 years. In 2006, he joined Slightly Stoopid, adding a dimension and element to the band that has taken them to a new level. Slightly Stoopid has grown to become one of the most successful independent artists of the decade, with album sales topping the 700,000 mark and taking the stage at some of the most prestigious festival venues around the world like Coachella, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, New Orleans Jazz Fest, and playing sold out shows across the US, Australia, Japan, Guam, Amsterdam, Portugal, Denmark, the UK, Germany, Holland, and The Dominican Republic. C-Money’s album, “Family Business” off Stoopid Records, was released on April 20, 2010, and provides a diverse musical landscape infused with reggae, hip-hop, jazz, funk, blues, and soul.
