The Gathering - Rob Parrett

Rob is working as a freelance composer, he has an extensive catalogue of commissioned music which has been used world-wide for film, television, radio and multi media. He also composes for BMG/ Atmospheres, Music Sales, BPM, Sony and Sonoton amongst others. As a solo artist has had three critically acclaimed 12 string guitar based albums and numerous releases under various pseudonyms experimenting in world, progressive, dance, hi-tech, trance and chill alongside featured artists including The Dream Team, Craig David, So Solid Crew, Fila Brazillia, Jah Wobble, Nitin Sawhney, Moloko, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Tosca and Rinocerose.

He has a new album out under the alias of ‘One Cool Fossil’ called ‘This Changing World’, which was recently featured on the BBC’s ‘Mixing It’ programme. It’s an intriguing album experimenting with guitar, sound design and musical instrumentation within a selection of genres. It also has a dig at politicians, looks at world awareness and has some great little humorous twists.
