The Greatest Betrayal Lyrics

I've never been that strong, never been the one to charge head on
I'm afraid to let this in, I have to try before the light goes dimWe pledge ourselves to all of this?
A broken promise? Just a lie? A target I can't hit?
And is being strong depending on our blind faith
Or is being gullible making us weak? Now I'm scared, and I'm using you, hoping you will somehow pull me through
It's only when all is lost I need your help and I'll pay any cost
Will I take all this back?We pledge ourselves to all of this?
A broken promise? Just a lie? A target I can't hit?
And is being strong depending on our blind faith
Or is being gullible making us weak?Don't place on me this crown of thorns
I'm happy now, no need to be reformed
Please don't trust a single word I say
Because you know I will surely betray
You know I will betrayWe pledge ourselves to all of this?
A broken promise? Just a lie? A target I can't hit?
And is being strong depending on our blind faith
Or is being gullible making us weak?

Much The Same (1999-2007) was a punk rock band from the suburbs of Chicago, IL. Their style is based on the fast, melodic skate punk of the mid-to-late 1990's made popular by bands such as NOFX, Lagwagon, and No Use For A Name. The band began in 1999 under the name Don't Look Down and changed to Much The Same in 2001 after a legal dispute with the New Jersey based band called Don't Look Down. Their first album, Quitters Never Win, was released on Anti-Flag's A-F Records in 2003. The band then moved to Nitro Records to release their sophomore effort, Survive, in 2006.
