The Hardest Part - Second Soul

Second Soul has arrived. With unmatched intensity and power, the boys of SS deliver a massive shock to the senses with their latest album, "Beyond the Infinite" featuring a guest performance from Mark Tremonti (Creed/Alter Bridge) on track six, "Burn". Vocalist and frontman Scott Yanke leads the band with both grace and raw guteral power while guitar phenom, Troy Stetina closes the deal with mind blowing guitar work. The idea of the band was born after world-renown guitar virtuoso and music educator Troy Stetina met Mark Tremonti in 2002. In the early 90s, Mark had been inspired by Troy’s classic “shredder Bible,” Speed Mechanics for Lead Guitar. After the two met through GuitarOne magazine, a friendship ensued and inspiration was repaid. As Troy coached Mark on lead guitar technique, Mark—the consummate rock songwriter—helped Troy with arrangements. And Troy was inspired to form a band.

Second Soul is releasing the new album cross-promoted with Troy’s new Fret12.com “Sound & Story” DVD. The band recently was forced to replaced two members (Eddie Szczepanski and Ryan Loehe) in summer of 2011 due to tour conflicts. Cory Scheider and Adam Maltby have joined on and have helped in bringing Soul to a new level. Second Soul is now preparing for an upcoming tour and has several local area preview shows on the calendar.
