The Here And Now Lyrics

Friday night here come the crowds
And we're swallowed whole but we breathe alone
In the here and now
All these voices melting down
I shut my eyes and I try to hide
In the here and nowI can see the truth in your eyesWhisper words I'll never hear
Through the deafening, through the broken scene
Through the endless fear
Faith and flood is rushing out
When you look at me, I can see the truth
In the here and nowI can see the truth in your eyesWe're lost in the lights and sound
The walls all melt to the ground
And if you don't believe
I will tear the sky down right now
We're lost in the lights and sound
The walls all melt to the ground
And if you can't believe
I will tear the sky down for youWe're deafening and the broken screams

I can hear the truthI can see the truth in your eyes
We're lost in the lights and sound
The walls all melt to the ground
And if you don't believe
I will tear the sky down right now
We're lost in the lights and sound
The walls all melt to the ground
And if you can't believe
I will tear the sky down for you
We're lost in the lights and sound
The walls all melt to the ground
And if you don't believe
I will tear the sky down right now

Winter In June were formed at the end of 2000, frustrated at the number of 'Beatdown' bands that gripped the scene so tightly. The original line up was James (voice), Scott White(guitar), Mike (bass) and Scott Byatt(drums). Due to Mike's growing commitment to his other band (Deadlifeportrait), the guys sought a new bassist, and James' college roomate Stu stepped up to the plate. It wasn't until August 2001 that Dan Burrows joined the fray, adding another guitar to the sonic assault. Dan left early in 2002 to join friends and local stalwarts xCanaanx, in an amicable way.
