The Past Lyrics

I watched as the dark fades to dawn,
And wished the past never happened (never happened)
Walking home as the streetlights are turning off,
And the pen on the papers is hardly dry at all,
My bloodshot eyes struggle to adjust to the sun,
I always thought but I had hoped that I was wrong,
[Chorus]I wished the past never happened to you,
Happened to you,
Happened to you
Quietly turned away trembling
I felt the weight of your words as they finally met your lips,
I would give anything to take away this pain you live with,
I gave you my soul, I give you this wish
[Chorus]I wish this never happened
[Chorus]

Enjoy the lyrics !!!

Originally called The Debutones, the group was formed in the early months of 1962. Birch and McGlory replaced founder members Irene Green (vocals) and Sheila McGlory when they departed to Tiffany's Dimensions and The Demoiselles respectively. The Liver Birds moved to Hamburg in 1963 where they became one of the most popular and successful groups on the Star-Club circuit. In Germany, they recorded two albums which sold well and they reached the German top five with their single, "Diddley Daddy".
