The Pursuit Of Happiness Lyrics

One into one won't go
Two out of three don't know
Time and tide in man's affairs
Trouble always comes in pairsWonder where this picture went?
What we got ain't worth a cent
What we got ain't worth a damn
Someone's screwed this master planThe pursuit of happiness, it's a common goal
The pursuit of happiness doing what we're told
The pursuit of happiness to the very end
It goes 'round and 'round and 'round and 'round againBite the bullet in the dust
Got to take their word on trust
No use counting down your prayers
All God's children running scaredNo use howling at the moon
Planet Earth is going soon
Starving children stand on line
Living now on borrowed timeThe pursuit of happiness, it's a common goal
The pursuit of happiness doing what we're told
The pursuit of happiness to the very end

It goes 'round and 'round and 'round and 'round againThe pursuit of happiness, it's a common goal
The pursuit of happiness doing what we're told
The pursuit of happiness to the very end
It goes 'round and 'round and 'round and 'round again
'Round and 'round and 'round and 'round againThe pursuit of happiness
The pursuit of happiness
The pursuit of happiness
The pursuit of happiness
It goes 'round and 'round and 'round and 'round again

Billy Squier (born May 12, 1950, in Wellesley Hills, Massachusetts) is a rock musician. Squier had a string of arena rock and power ballad hits in the 1980s. He is probably best known for the song "The Stroke" on his 1981 album release Don't Say No, which has been certified as Triple-Platinum by the RIAA. Other hits include "Lonely Is The Night", "Everybody Wants You", "Rock Me Tonite" and "In The Dark". Squier left the music industry in the mid-1990s, due in part to issues with his label. He has been active in the 2000s, touring both as a single artist and as a member of the 'Ringo Starr & His All Starr Band'. Before fronting the band titled in his name, Squire was the frontman of the power pop group Piper.
