The Three Day Man Lyrics

I'm the three day man, it's three days too long
Everything is in its right place but something is wrong
Time is on wheels, my legs shake
You have to live with every decision that you make
But that doesn't mean that I'll be your slave
Doesn't mean you're here to stay, doesn't mean we're friends for life
You know I want you, you know that I love you
But I'll never need you anyway
I'll never need you anyway
Sixes and sevens, oh, how it rains
Sleep is a station, life is a train
People snatch instinctively for whatever crutch they need
But I promise not to abuse you, if you don't abuse me
And that means that I'll be never your slave
It means that you're not here to stay, it means we'd never be friends for life

You know how I want you, you know that I love you
But I'll never need you anyway
I'll never need you anyway
And that means that I'll be never your slave
It means you're not here to stay, it means we're not friends for life
You know how I want you and you know that I love you
But I'll never need you anyway
I'll never need you anyway
Never need you anyway
I'll never need you anyway
I'll never need you anyway
I'll never need you anyway
I'll never need you

The Waterboys are a band formed in 1983 by Mike Scott. The band's membership, past and present, has been composed mainly of musicians from the British Isles. London, Dublin, Spiddal, and Findhorn have all served as a home for the group. The band has played in a number of different styles, but most often their music can be described as a mix of Celtic folk music with rock and roll, or folk rock. After ten years of recording and touring, the band dissolved in 1993 and Scott pursued a solo career. The band reformed in 2000, and continues to release albums and tour worldwide.
