The Wanderer Lyrics

A few prisms of glass offer litter comfort in the blackness
The desolate emptiness drinking every last drop of life that’s left in me
I pray for absolution, let me return to the path of a tempting lie…
Lead me towards the light
Truly I’ve run awry
My compass is spinning in the shadows
It’s funny how we believe the things that we tell ourselves to
And our hearts simply follow
I pray for absolution, let me return to the path of a tempting lie..
Lead me towards the lights
I pray for the absolution, let me return to the path of a tempting lie..
Lead me towards the light

Jah Woosh (born Neville Beckford, 1952, Kingston, Jamaica; died 20 February 2011) was a reggae deejay and record producer, primarily known for his work in the 1970s. Beckford served an apprenticeship as a mechanic before forming a duo with Reggae George, Neville & George, and auditioning for Jamaica's top producers. Unsuccessful as a duo, they both went on to solo careers. Beckford became the resident deejay on Prince Lloyd's sound system, and was noticed by producer George Bell, who took him into the studio to record "Angela Davis", now under the pseudonym Jah Woosh.
