The Witness Lyrics

I shed some light
Into this hopeless mess
Shield the most innocent eyes
Precious witnesses
Don't watch I'm slipping
I'm loosing sight of myself
Feels like the first time
And I don't want you to see me like this
'Cause this life won't go on and on
And it's not we're trying to live
A life that's greed
And frowns your countenance
Leaving you alone and desperate
Turn the light on
Answer my darkest hour
You let your demons slip away
Unaccounted for
Don't watch, I'm falling

I'm loosing part of myself
This is the last time
That you will ever see me like this
This life won't go on and on
And it's not we're trying to live
A life that's greed
And frowns your countenance
Leaving you alone and desperate
All of the faces I have seen
Dark silhouettes abandon me
Those are eyes, now let me see
All of the lies that we miss
'Cause this life won't go on and on
And it's not we're trying to live
A life that's greed
And frowns your countenance
Leaving you alone and desperate
All of the faces that I've seen
Dark silhouettes abandon me
And the thought of you
Makes me let it go, let it go
