There's No Tellin' Lyrics

Tell me now don't you let me down
It's too confusing, but it's really sound
And the expression on your face lets me know
But it's alright 'cause it's your showAnd recalling once again, there's one and forty roads that have no end
If there were only places where we could agree
I'd buy them all for you and meChorus:
It's as impossible as anything you see
Like pickin' cherries from a lusty lemon tree
If I could only walk upon the dark blue waters of the sea
There's no tellin' what I'd do for you and meGuiding angel do your best for me
'cause I'm feeling that it's hopelessly
I hear from people tellin' him to say to me
The time for us will never beChorus:
It's as impossible as anything you see
Like pickin' cherries from a lusty lemon tree
If I could only walk upon the dark blue waters of the sea
There's no tellin' what I'd do for you and meAnd the expression on your face lets me know
But it's alright 'cause it's your showChorus:

It's as impossible as anything you see
Like pickin' cherries from a lusty lemon tree
If I could only walk upon the dark blue waters of the sea
There's no tellin' what I'd do for you and me

Rufus gained a fan in Stevie Wonder thanks to their cover of his "Maybe Your Baby." Wonder gave them a new composition, the slowly grinding "Tell Me Something Good," that he'd written specifically with Khan's vocal style in mind. Pulled as a single from their second album, 1974's Rags to Rufus, "Tell Me Something Good" was a Top Five smash that turned Rufus and Khan into stars....
