There's a Pot a Brewin' Lyrics

Ol' morning crimson dawn
...there's a creek now on the floor
Do the paupers sleep tonight?
Do the children read or write? There's a pot a brewin'
A beat-up cup for fillin'
Now the paper is saying that are polls are shiftingOur train's ahead
and its patrons have been so mislead
Judges play gypsy roles
cherry pickin' while the gentleman fallsAching prophets scurry south
Tangled up in all their vows
They can hear us from the street
It's a shame we can't retreatYou see the road is seasoned
with the bows of treason
Painted wagons are gleamin'
while the dust is settlingOur train's ahead
and its patrons have been so mislead
Judges play gypsy roles
cherry pickin' while the gentleman fallsThere's a pot a brewin!

The Little Ones are comprised of Ian Moreno, Edward Nolan Reyes, Brian Reyes, Lee Ladouceur, and Greg Meyer. Coming together in Los Angeles, United States in early 2006, the summery-sounding Little Ones wear their influences (the Beach Boys, the Zombies) on their sleeves while composing some of the brightest indie rock of the new millennium. They self-released their debut EP, Sing Song, that spring.
