This Love Lyrics

I could see it in your eyes
Taste it in our first kiss
Stranger in this lonely town (this lonely town)
Save me from my emptiness (save me)
You took my hand, remember
Told me it'd be okay
I trusted you to hold my heart
But now fate is pulling me away from you
Even if I leave you now and it breaks my heart
Even if I'm not around, I won't cave in
I can't give up on this love
You've become a piece of me
It makes me sick to even think
Of mornings, waking up alone
Searching for you in my sheet
Don't fade (don't fade) away

Even if I leave you now and it breaks my heart
Even if I'm not around, I won't cave in
I can't give up on this love
I can't just close the door on this love
I've never felt anything like this before
Tell me the truth, no matter
What we're going through
Will you hold on to us?
Even if I leave you now and it breaks my heart
Even if I'm not around, I won't cave in
I can't give up on this love
Even if I leave you now and it breaks my heart
Even if I'm not around, I won't cave in
I can't give up (can't give up)
I won't give in (won't give in)
I can't give up (can't give up) on this love

Reggae vocalist, 1965 - 1994. Glasgow started singing from age 12, at which point she was working with popular producer Mad Professor. Adopting the alias Debbie G., she gained popularity on the London reggae scene despite parting with Mad Professor's label. Her meeting with another London producer, Patrick Donegan, led to a new recording contract with UK Bubblers and several hit singles. In 1989 she released her only full length album, an eponymous debut. Her biggest hit came from Shabba Rank's reworking of her song "Champion Lover" from that album, called "Mr. Lover Man".
