Thorough. Modern. Lyrics

There goes the world (It’s spinning) There goes the world (It’s spinning)
There goes the world (It’s spinning) There goes the world (It’s spinning)
Because it’s all your fault, the world has failed you there's certain reasons why.
Because it’s all your fault, your friends have left you these certain reasons why.
You take the time, assume all the stupid shit you don’t even try
Because it’s all your fault, the world has failed you, you’re left to die.
There goes the world, it’s a mean old machine.
Spinning round and round, taking everything.
I judge the world as most…(???????)
Hasn't this proven the loneliest you've ever seen
Breaking along the common man
So I can smile and shake his hand (So I can smile and shake his hand)
We suffered with the common man? (For them, we’re deceiving)
He used to piss into your sores
We suffered for the conman (To them, we’re the children)
To tear their fucking souls apart.
You think people would talk about this so much more, tell a lie, your evil spell
And when they look back they fall even harder than they did before, they did before

And we all spin a wheel like oh man, oh man, oh man
I hope I learn something new now, as they take your baby right through the door.
They stole your baby, there’s nothing more, nothing more.
It just gets worse nothing’s better I wish I could leave
I cannot trust something I just don’t believe, It’s not possible
It’s not what’s supposed to be, no no no no. I had a much much better plan than that.
I had a much much better plan than that. It’s not possible, it’s not what’s supposed to be.

Exotic Animal Petting Zoo is an experimental/progressive rock/mathcore band from Crown Point, Indiana that was formed in 2004 by brothers Brandon Carr and Stephen Carr. Their initial sound combines the likes of The Dillinger Escape Plan, The Smashing Pumpkins, Deftones, and Sigur Rós. They recorded a 5-song EP of different musical styles while in search of a bass player able to play them all. Scott Certa was recruited for bassist in '05 and played local shows around the region.
